Erasmus+ mobility projects

Internships for students abroad

The Erasmus+ mobility projects send around 60 trainees a year to do a three-week internship, primarily in Helsinki, Budapest or the Balearic Islands. In Finland, our partner school Varia in Vantaa (Helsinki) organises internships for German trainees. In the Balearic Islands, the Balearic Ministry of Education organises the placements in collaboration with the local vocational schools. In Budapest, operations are organised by our partner school, UMSZKI.

The trainees come from all areas of the school: electrical engineering/IT, metals technology (general metal technology, motor vehicles, bodywork construction, refrigeration technology, mechatronics), construction technology, timber processing technology, hairdressing and nutrition. We return the favour by inviting trainees, teachers and trainers from Helsinki, Budapest and the Balearic Islands to Rendsburg.

Job Shadowing for teacher and company trainer

In addition, around 30 teachers and vocational trainers travel to other European countries each year for a week of Job Shadowing. The aim of the one-week visit is for participants to familiarise themselves with the vocational training system of the country, exchange information with their colleagues and, among other things, analyse the structure of the vocational training system, the curriculum or examinations.
